The name ‘Quiet House’ is inspired by the deep feeling of peace and alignment that comes from living in a well designed home. Our homes are our sanctuaries and studies show that they can materially affect our well being. Quiet House designs are deeply attuned to each client and their home, reflecting clients’ authentic style and enhancing their lifestyle. Megan’s approach is at once intuitive and objective as she curates the layers that go into making each design express your unique style.
Quiet House projects follow a workflow meant to help clients see the big picture like a professional does. Having this perspective enables strategic decisions that deliver magical results! The process of executing your design is handled with precision and care, drawing on extensive practical experience planning and managing renovations and furnishing selections.

Meet Your Designer
Quiet House founder Megan Stein began her career in fashion design, receiving her MS in Fashion Design from Drexel University before going on to train in couture design in the Paris ‘Ecole de la Chambre Syndical de la Couture’. She apprenticed in the design studios of Givenchy and Alexander McQueen, before going on to travel the globe, tracking trends and crafting exquisitely detailed clothing for Free People and Anthropologie.
In 2018, ready for a fresh avenue for her creativity, Megan pivoted from fashion design to residential interior design. Her highly developed sensibilities found expansive new avenues for expression in all aspects of interior architecture, finishes, furnishings, art and decor. Megan finds the process of crafting bespoke interiors for families and individuals wonderfully personal, and thrives on the magic of transforming clients’ spaces into dream homes.

Find Your Secret Sauce
Our process includes an in-depth design review with clients, going deep into the minutia of your likes and dislikes. Anyone can copy a room out of a catalogue, but we use our extensive library of vendors and resources to create something completely individual for each client.
Have a (Master) Plan
We break down the often-overwhelming design process into clear steps that are designed to build upon each other to crystallize the vision and planning for your project. Know what the showstopper moments vs the budget-saving solutions are long before work begins.
